what about a GT kit, 25 mm dellorto thru airbox, one of the new super Clubmans and the 5 speed box ?
Reliability, economical, fun to ride, and hopefully low maintenance ?

its gonna cost you anyways, in lambretta land you can only really have 2 of the following ...

FAST, RELIABLE, CHEAP

Mess with what you have a little, get it up to a solid 60, then pass you mates when they stop for fuel or breakdowns and wave ;)
A mile a minute is not a bad travelling speed, easy on the arms, eyes and pocket.
That's not going anywhere...
