So are these just for jet headsets ? i noticed the screws/ bolts in the side for the late jet headsets. or do they fit italian headsets ?Evesy wrote:Eventually I got into my Man Cave. Anyway here is a photo of it fitted into the headset.. You will notice that the fixings do without the screw and square nut configeration on the original version. You just screw the supplied bolts through and it catches in the fixings which give you loads of options for adjustment. Very pleased with my purchase and it is very bright.
When i was young my Mom said "if you haven't got anything nice to say, say nothing at all " ..................... and people wonder why I'm quiet around them !

If you have a look on Jockey's website there is a different version for Italian headsets (and Li etc).carlos fandango wrote:So are these just for jet headsets ? i noticed the screws/ bolts in the side for the late jet headsets. or do they fit italian headsets ?

Hope no one minds me resurrecting this thread but I've just been trying to fit a Jockeys headlamp into my Jet headset. My Jet came with a standard SX type headlamp and I've been running that set up for the last few years with nothing in the 2 mounting holes. So, I thought I'd revert to the proper Jet set up, however, I don't know what bits I need for the side mountings or for the adjuster at the bottom, anyone know what's needed and who sells the parts?
Cheers
Colin

A few on the gts facebook page have used them reporting good results

I bought one a few years ago and it was worse than useless. But technology has moved on and I tried an H6 led bulb in a 4" spotlamp fitted to my Jet last week. It needed a bit of fettling to get the focus where it needed to be but I took it out for a spin along unlit country lanes last night and the spot chucks out almost as much light as the 55/60 watt H4 in the headlamp and was reasonably well focused. My experimenting included fitting the Led section from a CREE spotlamp to the other spot but that was not so successful, very bright but the light is very diffuse and putting my hand over it made little difference to the light from the H6 spot and the head light.warts wrote:Now that prices are falling, has anyone tried an H4 LED bulb? One or two in the 20w - 30w range.
