Russ, I saw the comparison of the Taffy on the dyno screen but I didn't get a print of it. However, when the Taffy was dynoed 2 years ago, I had an AF light flywheel on which caused the engine to break down at 6100 revs. Also, the comparison would not be direct as the cylinder head is different, as are the port timings (altered via packers).
That said, max torque previously was only 13.9, and the BHP much the same.
But, from riding the scoot, I know that it did not hold on to the power like this one does. Well, as I said this hasn't had a proper road test yet, but I did stick it on the motorway for 5 or 6 miles yesterday, and it did keep pulling, and pulling and it feels responsive throughout the range.
That said, as you can see from the printout, there is a flatspot at just over 4000 revs when the jetting goes ever so slightly richer. I know this is common with TS1s but it is noticeable with the Franspeed, more so than it was before. This is the only downside, performance wise, that I have found so far.
Clearance__ if you look on Andy francis's site, you'll see from the pics that it does tuck up pretty tight to the frame but the endcan is quite low. I haven't banked any significant corners, yet

, so it's probably too early to comment, Ove.
