question in me head needs an answer!!! we accept that the autolube is set at 2%...so at what point when jetting up would you go 3% or possibly 4% on any given tune ie, HB stage 4, malossi, polini, pinasco...any tuners have a theory or rule of thumb on this...Mmmmmm! ;)

i used to use 3% TT Sport but have dropped back to 2% Exol semi on a tuned steel lined vespa barrel with no problems but my jetting is only 125 main and a slight up lift on pilot - i use a standard late Disc head - found no detriment when i dropped back to 2% - i also use octane booster to stabalise petrol

Harry Barlow mentioned to run his 207 stage 4 set up at 3% on normal day to day running and 4% if your doing fast motorway riding which means putting an extra 1-2% in the tank if you still use an autolube

What we need is an expert who could modify the standard pump to deliver a 3 or 4% feed. My guess is it is regulated by the sleeve in the carb box and the cut out on the drive shaft although it could also be the amount of teeth on the drives. Anyone on here work for Piaggio ?

standard vespas run 2% as we all know ,even the T5 ..but whenever things are tuned /kitted up or tweaked in any way for more power/performance i just think its wise to go to 3% .
we always use this and advise it on our tuned motors ,and have never had a prob .
in fact i have only ever seen probs arise from folk only using 2% ..
so why risk it and skimp ?,how many lamby owners would dare to risk 2% ?
3% semi synthetic on a tuned or modified vespa is safe and gives peace of mind .

I think that 4% is too much tbh and overkill ,but then i also disagree with squishes over 1.5mm lol
but if you have one of his motors then follow his advice by all means .

3% Castrol actevo on my HB 200, done a few 1000 miles on it now no probs, pre mix. there was a lad doing an altered oil pump shaft for autolubes, the "Dreadnought" ran one if I remember rightly. I prefer to mix in the tank myself, seen a few pumps f@@k up and wreck motors. I wouldn't run 4% personally.
