varitronic flywheel

has anyone used an indian boss to replace a boss on a varitronic flywheel ? if so what was the procedure . cheers simon

well first you need to know if the boss stud holes on the varitronic match the indian one and also that the pick up trigger is in the same place in relation to the woodruff cut out

Simon get in touch with KCB on here, he has done one or look up varitronic flywheel on search and find the thread started by him.

Had a measure against an Indian boss and it looks like you could fit one if you machined down the plate with the holes in from the crank side, but then fit the boss from the outside. This would leave the plate or flange wafer thin. The holes don't line up but this would not be a problem as I would be welding in anyway. I will remove a nackerd boss from a varitronic and have a proper measure, cheers simon
