Someone at last years euro (dont think it was andy Francis) was selling tanks with the two halfs welded to gether the wrong way round, so you couldnt fill it up after it was fitted.

yep, crap aren't they Mike?
I just tilted it to get the best clearance I could, but it doesn't sit right.
This was the "13 litre" tank with the double cut out which turned out to be 11 litres, if you remember? ;)
ebay eh?! pah.... :)
I was tempted to grind the flange back and re-weld it, but I wanted to get Avanti run in.
Try tightening the tool box nuts as much as you can, this will help a bit.

cheers,
Nigel

Yep, got a stainless one from resurrection scooters a while back - came to dry build and could not get the toolbox and the tank in at the same time even without any rubbers! :(

The tanks are perfect, it's those crappy toolboxes that you insist on keeping.

Solution, remove toolbox and fit legshield toolbox, then tank fits and plenty of space for your Breath Sweet filter too. :bouncyeng:

I'll let you have 2 Indian toolboxes for that price if you want to cut ''n'' shut your own.
