having read many threads about SIP speedos i seem to have a problem that has not been covered (or what i can see), now a bit of history - fitted the speedo a couple of months ago, sometimes worked, sometimes didn't, so today rewired it all (12AC) all seems to be good apart from the speed (MPH) not working when on the road, weird thing when pushed backwards it seem to work??? (yeah only found this out when backing in to the garage) have not touched the speedo cable since the original fitting and worked off and on then !!!!

ladies and gents give me some help before it goes on FleeBay.............

Check the speedo drive in the hub and cable first.

By no means a expert but "R" type plug but also a cap seem to have made things a lot better, in the end i got AC power from the back end rather than the headset, just seemed to be getting interferance from anything and everything in the headset.... so after a fiddle with the speedo cable tomorrow all "should" be good.... (said this last time :flaming: )
