Is this a crank you've used in oneof your engines? Any feedback?

I've had 3 votes of confidence in MEC race cranks now, and 1 in a Pro Porting crank. My mind is torn between using a MEC crank again, i know mine wasnt the optimum version, but I'm not sure i have anough confidence in them to use another.. It doesnt help when other people have told you they have seen MEC cranks go in the same fashion, though i dont know if these were the "race" version.

I use the 60mm rb spec af crank in my ts1 Jordan , for the last 2 years , only thing that has not given me any worries or hassle with top end !!

Older (pre-RB) 60mm AF race trued and pin welded, now somewhere over 20K trouble free miles. Used in tweaked Rapido 250.

Similar experience and milage on a Tino/Evergreen full circle (out-of the box) 58mm stroke on my Kwak 230. The small end-eye area of the rod was however slightly 'blued' when that came out, which I can't really explain. Perhaps just the temperature up there in a 71mm iron barrel?

Lots of people seem to be fan of the AF cranks, had a few people say they rate them now. I am tempted to go that route.

I take it this would be the crank i need if im going for a 60mm? http://www.afrayspeed.co.uk/index.php?p ... buteID=CRR

how many miles have you done on that 62? i'll soon be looking for another 115 X 62 for another engine, i would have gone for another JB crank as the one i have has done so well but I have no idea if they are still available.
John gets through scooter components like ther is no tomorrow - he will admit it. I really think it is well beyond time that Lord JAS posted a pic of his speedometer face on here!

PS this http://scooterotica.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=25761 has a JB built 58/116 crank but had a few problems with p155-takers. :D

I'm aware of how many miles he does, i'm interested to know how many that crank has done because I'm in the market for one, I'm interested because as you may or may not know I also do a few miles

Eden,

When I was after my 62mm crank no one had them in stock, tried everyone but none available, web stores showed stock but when I spoke to a human nowhere actually had them in.

The mec crank would not last long in a rb, I don't think. Good for other engines tho
