Young lad, 15, looking to get a pk 50, seen one,
That 50 has no paper work at all and it not registered in the uk how much would it cost roughly to get on the road?
How difficult to get it registered, and would all he need is the chassis number?
it looks like it was an ex AFSC PK 50.

Their is a charge when handing in paperwork/inspection to your local dvla office, can't remember how much it's been a while.weedodger wrote:forgot to add, its an import? will he need to pay any extra on top o this?

It's £55 for an import for registering, plus tax if its under a certain age. I am in the middle of trying to register a 64 li special, bought it from a well known dealer who imported it from Italy, i had to certify on a separate tax form that vat had been paid by the importer
, then i had to take loads of photos in of scooter and chassis number and engine number, then told me they would want to see it, now waiting for an appointment.
This is the Bristol dvla office and it has not been easy, and I still haven't had it inspected, wouldn't be surprised if they gave me a q plate after all this even though its 100% original Italian with dating cert.
Hope you have it easier

From what I can see it seems way too easy to clone scooters, there seems to be regular frames on eBay with no numbers, even with a number buyers wouldn't know until registration time after many months of hard work restoring that it was a clone.
My first scoot was a pk 50, first electric start in weston, £500 new in 83, happy days
