I picked up this exhaust at Wicksteed. I cannot seen the manufacturer's name on the pipe or can, but it is a hydraulically formed pipe.

There aren't many manufacturers of hydralically formed pipes (Jahspeed, late Mikeck .....) so it shouldn't be too hard to identify (famous last words).

Sorry I can't give you a possitive ID. on that one Martin.

Up to the damper it looks VERY similar to my late Mikeck. Same main bracket set-up too. Has it 44mm ID down pipe?

I would take a pic, but it is on my full-framed daily ride while my Jahspeed gets refurbished, so would not show enough to be sure enough for shaw buddy.

Check with John, but I think the Jahspeeds have a stub joint as do the earlier MB's.

Weren't some of the 'Swift' pipes hydro-formed?

It caught my eye and asked myself the same question too?

There were a few half completed mickek pipes about that weekend if recently acquired, but the u pipe seems to be of a different style.

Have you tried it yet to compare with existing pipe ? be interested in results.

Yep, It' looked like a 'repair' on Martin's pix, spring hooks look in ther right place (two missing) but slip-joint to main section 'not quite right' . There was a lot of 'OK well put your name on it' swapsies and trades going on..so maybe someone bought and 'sorted' Mikecks belly sections so they did not clout the frame every time you took the bike off the stand?

I have little to compare it with Sash. Perhaps I should pop down to Jah's on Saturday. John is only about 10 miles away.

I've got to say the the slip joint doesn't strike me as a repair, in the flesh.

I do hope it is a re-manufactured Mikeck pipe, cos I like Mikeck pipes. There is no evidence of dents anywhere on the pipe. It is very tidy. I might try fitting it at the weekend and see what it does (rev, I suspect).

I doubt I can find any pics of the 'blown' Mikeck, the Jah pipe (curly) is having a kinda 'sump-guard or 'skid-pan slider' for the vulnerable section: then off for HT Powdercoat: so probably 2 weeks wait for a snap I'm afraid. If it revs on and then on some more and your left-hand starts to cramp over the clutch lever...it'll be Mikeck derivative ;)
