Running in tips

Anything related to Lambrettas... ask tech questions, post helpful info, or just read and learn.

I'm hopefully gonna collect me scoot this week wot sort of running in tips are recommended for 186 mugello ? Speed , mileage , mixture , spark plug etc thanks Simon

Just take it easy for the first tank of fuel. Don't labour the engine.

have to agree, after trusting and spending all that money with the builder, let them advise you on running it in.

I wait with interest as to what you think of it, Im still yet to ride mine LOL

if you want to double check your builders opinion on running in procedure, then there is plenty of info on I think its the camlam site, or mugello site?

I asked the shop that supplied mine.
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it does fail, hit them with it!!!

Yes nicasil etc runs in quick as a flash, but pretty sure it wasn't a straight forward put on a kit was it simon? Im assuming there may be other parts ie bearings and crank etc that will need bedding in?

Best advice is to get the advice from the builder, follow it to the letter and you should be ok. If you don't heed his advice and something goes wrong you have no comeback at all :-/
