anyone used one of these setups or know anything about them?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lambretta-Out ... 1e76723e8b

too hard or rubbish??

I love the look these give, and with the welded links included I didnt think it was too bad priced

the other part of me is wondering if I should just wait another 3-4 months and save up the £250 or so to fit some BGM dampers and get links sorted, as they appear to be the dogs danglies, also like the targa line but cant find much info on them

hes a cock his name is pete and he used to run a place in kings lynn taking people money without haveing the goods he was a reseller of bgm/scootrs stuf along with other major brands
these kits use a bolt on the top and not a lug with an unthreaded shank on so all the load is applied through a threaded area i had some of him a few yrs ago and modified them the same as frank sanderson does

I'm not sure about the Lincs Lambretta connection. I can't recall anyone called Pete being there.

There's a few lads from that area on here Tony, they may know more about the Ebay guy.

I used to supply kings lynn with suspension kits until they copied them ,if they had copied them correctly there may not be an issue as the shocks are the same as I still use .problem is they didnt copy exactly :!: there are issues with the top mountings & also with spring retention to the top mount. You also have to realise that you cannot weld the bottom pins to anything other than italian or spanish links or risk death ! we also stopped supplying them with our billet hubs as we couldnt rely on them being fitted safely . Theres no mention of the welding problems on ebay on there ad .I actualy advertised the same original correct suspension kit alongside theres at a lower price . They have now lowered there version to a point thats not profitable to build safely so wont be trying to compete there .. theres a well known saying that fits the bill here "you pays your money and you takes your chance "When buying anything to do with brakes or suspension try to find a company that has product liability insurance .If your going to be spending £250.00 you could have a set of these instead the dampers on these actualy work correctly with less stiction on the upstroke than on the rebound you will find with BGM ,s That its virtualy the same both ways just like a steering (kwak )damper. we have some new ones coming out very soon that have adjustable damping .
