So thats as far as i have got so far, the frame is now being prepped for painting after all the grinding was done there wont be any need to use tons of filler either. The seat is being covered up in Jakarta and i have been tinkering with all the small bits and pieces that are needed for the rebuild including cutting and welding the side stand and fabricating a hugger front mudguard. In case you were wondering all the cutting welding grinding and panel beating came in at just under $60, the donor frame was $20, the seat will when finished, cost $30 and the cost of the parts (veloce headset - complete with all new speedo lamp, levers and light switch block, the standard brake pedal, and the complete forks with hub and shock) was another $300. This was due to the rarity of the headset here, if i had chosen to use a 150 super headset for example the price of the parts would be halved.
The fuel tank was a freebie from my mate, Dave Breese who had it fabricated but decided not to use it, Youre a star Dave.

Would be happy with 160 US Dollars (just over 100 quid) plus postage.
That includes the complete bars including all sundries as shown and the extended forks including the extention tube for the shock and the chromed fork link if you want it i will also throw in the cutdown front muguard all in good condition.
Any takers they are just gathering dust now.

So as to update this thread a bit since i last posted, the seat has now come back from my mate Yule in Jakarta and looks the business. Yule has been covering my Vespa and Lambretta seats for years and he never fails to deliver. Have a look at the pictures and let me know what you think, to have the base plate covered and upholstered cost $30 US (or 19 quid sterling) that includes the over night parcel service charge from Jakarta.
As you saw from the instructions i gave him, the seat base plate has 2 bolts welded into the front part and was then cut into two, this allows the front of the seat to be bolted to the frame whilst the back end (joined only by the foam and the cover) can be lifted up to utilise the space under the seat for storage now that the fuel tank will be behind the legshields.

Got the new wheel rims and these have been painted red (obviously) for a more practical finish and retro look. Chrome rims lok the business but even here in Indonesia where it is dry for 10 months of the year they still rust easily and are also a bitch to keep polished.
