Talk to Dapper on here. I think he had a similar problem and he got around it with some fancy links or something like that.

I think that could well be it. Not entirely sure how it stops the lever hitting the top of the carb though.

Certainly are close, i got over it on one scooter while messing with inlet track lengths, by making a longer inlet manifold length which suited what i was trying to achieve. You may have to lengthen lever rod for this as it rubs on frame.

Have temporarily used another fuel link ( This does move the tap position 90 degs and it pokes out from frame ok for temp fix)

Also make sure that you get fuel pipe below tank, i found using a tie wrap around bell mouth of carb clamping petrol pipe works well and check/look at operation of fuel tap and lever knuckle.

Bit of messing about but worth it, best carb i own

that joiner is just standard part on RC boats, easy to find on ebay or local model shop etc
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it does fail, hit them with it!!!

You could use a "radiator" type hose that you can cut a bit longer for clearance. Just don't over-tighten it or it'll want to jump off.
