Keeping the weight over the front wheel has to be good advice Jarv. I did a run a few years ago from Garboldisham into Diss (Norfolk), a distance of only 8 miles to get some spray cans for my T5. I was on my Lis and it was just beginning to snow very lightly as I left. By the time I reached Diss it was getting heavier so I quickly bought the paint, re-fuelled and headed back. Unfortunately, the snow had settled and was as slippery as feck. A Landrover Freelander pulled out of a garage 100 yeads in front of me and piroetted all over the road...that's how slippy it was

I dropped my speed to about 10 mph and tried to keep in the wheel track left by a car, I was consious of a car behind me but was amazed several miles later to find that there was a tailback of around 20 cars behind me not daring to chasnce an overtake

300 yards from home the road became heavily cambered and the front end fell away in an instant and down I went. No real harm done but it has made me VERY wary ever since
