i might be wrong here, but i think all you need is the front hub. ask your friend who is building the front end for you id say an early p-range or a lml front hub will fit. what fork axle is on the forks is it the PX or PK.

The fork in your picture is 20mm. The earlier 16mm forks don't have the 'W' wave pattern on the swing arm:

i used the beedspeed hub conversion after selling my scootrs one i've had no problems with it well chuffed
Can't remember any binding issues when I did mine a couple of years ago which is exactly the same spec as yours ( SIP PK forks, 20mm spindle & ScootRs disc hub ). So I would suspect that something has not been fitted correctly
One thing that I did do was to fit 2 bearings instead of one to provide extra support as the only thing I did notice was that there is a slight bit of play on the bearing It appeared to be down to the spindle being very slightly less than 20 mm. (The SIP forks were brand new and came with the spindle fitted ).
Since fitting his set up I have done about 3,000 miles with no problems and it woks brilliantly. It goes without saying but once you get it sorted dont forget to periodically check the tightness of all the bolts particularly those that secure the actual disc

It is a mystery, they have sold hundreds of the things but then again if all vespa forks are the same then I can't see anything else being the issue. Its not just a bit out either, the circlip groove is totally covered and then some. Fitting error is always a possible but the bloke doing the work has probably fitted thousands of hubs in his time.

All sorted. He machined a bit from the end of the hub and now it goes together.
Which bit was wrong and where I don't know, I'm just relieved that it all works.
