Finally another year with plenty of things planned a head hopefully going to be having a new engine built soon and would like some personal feedback what people think of the rb236 kit over the original Rb225. Also would like to find out what gearing ,exhaust ,crankshaft people are using.

Would I still need the casing machined out for the rb236 kit? as its using the 72mm piston.
Thanks lloydiee

rb 225 @ 70mm x 60mm gives you the same 236 cc anyway ,i dont think i need tell you that the port timings will need adjusting though

U don't need to bore the mouth of the crank case for the 236 barrel, u do for the 250 and u can still use a 236 225 barrel on ur casing even if u have had it machine for the 250 barrel, I have.
there you go ...... better still though give rayspeeds a bell ... scott will be the guy to speak to

Exactly, just ask Ben or Scott, they will give u all the advice u need, Ben did laugh when I asked him about using the machined out crank case for the 250 with a 225 barrel, I've tried it it doesn't make any problems with running an rb kit, the 236 is a great bit of work, I'm getting mine altered just for a spare for when I blow up my new 260! Lol
