Building a Series 2 headset and got a junction box, reflector and Glass, no chrome headlilight surround or bulb holder though.
Question I have is, does anyone know what make of junction box this is and what bulb holder I need to get that will fit it. There is no name on it and it came with a reflector both from CamLam. Oh and if anyone has a pic iof how it all fits together correctly that would be great.... ;)

Thanks
Sef

Of course i knew that obviously...... :? Truth be known i didnt have a clue, never looked inside a series 2 headset. :D I did wonder how anything else would attach to it. Does this mean I can get any series 2 bulb holder as I presume the junction box I have doesnt require a specific type/make? Also do you know if series 2 reflectors are specific to a particular bulb holder (CEV etc) as some seies 3,s are? The one I have doesnt seem to have any markings on it.

Thanks

Yup, the junction box will have nothing to do with the bulbholder etc mate, it's literally there for the wiring, ie loom, switch, lighting etc.

Series 2 bulbholders are pretty much the same all across but I have noticed that some seem to recess into the hole the bulb goes through and have a rim to stop it going all the way through, others have an outer rim that goes over the outside of the reflectors rim if you see what I mean?

Here they are on allstyles site, 2nd and 3rd down, the italian type is the recess one and the indian economy one is the outer rim one. I've used both over the years and to be honest not had any issue with either, in latter years Ive stuck with kace and UA indian complete setups as they tend to only cost a tenner to fifteen for rim, glass, reflector and bulbholder all in and it suits my ratty S2.
I would advise though what ever you do , to buy a reflector and bulbholder together as then theres less chance of a mismatch due to different manufacturers.
