very cool scooter. a personal favourite was the "Model G "...a hybrid series 3/model D with 200 motor. looks just like an old open frame lambretta you would just walk past. still knocking about, anyone know who owns it now?
are you talking about the one ld ralph did ??

I have one in the shed , i cut the ld arch off and welded it to a gp bar , shock has about 1" from top to frame , im using gp forks and ld mudguard. the panels fit fine but im missing ld legshields , i have the handle bars and horn cover, horncover wont match to gp legshields, saddles are too high im 6 ft and barely touch the floor , ill fit an ancillotti , ill have to make a bridge piece,, ill post up a pic for you ,
The one above looks like an ld with a series 3 bar welded to the ld bar , joined just before the engine mounts under the panels ,not just bodywork if you know what i mean and series 3 forks fitted,, mind you i could be wrong..

he might have done it Ric, it was /is the standard D green. last time i saw it, it had a long range series 3 tank and a sterling exhaust fitted, which sort of detracted from the "stealthiness" of it.RICSPEED wrote:are you talking about the one ld ralph did ??

ok ..was going on the assumption that ld leggies and horn cast would fit (save for maybe shortening headstock) given that this scoot is series 1/2 with ld front end

though i can see from the pic the down tube profile does not match the leggies exactly .. also apology's for using this pic as it was someones on here

Ive offered the ld horncasting up to series 2 and sx legshields and it has a gap of about an inch in the centre , dont have ld legshields to try on the gp frame, there was a post on here a while back where someone fitted ld panelwork to a series 3 frame. ts1 engine i think, cant remember who though ,

I have an ld that i was going to do this to (or fit an RS125 engine) and i was under the impression that the legshields fitted with a little modification to the height.
The rear suspension just needs to be angled down slightly, i think
