whats it like on a day to day basis and low down? I have an rb20 which i love but it take some work to get it running well lower down the rev range. I like the idea of the 250 for my new rat but have heard they can be tempremental.

Had a couple of probs, carb rubber split same time as the stator plate after about 500 miles and being a relative learner on diagnosing non starting issues was a bit of a c";t at the time but no probs since ( touch wood ) very tourqey low down pulls easy, fully recommended, ray speed built the engine by the way.
