Scooter cut out this thurs night entering a pub carpark,kicked backed up revved its nuts off-air leak! Lost rest of group & lad i was with was on a gts,no tools but he did have a torch,delved into my toolbox had a couple of spanners etc & some tape,carb rubber had split taped it up put fasteners back on was just about holding together got half way home & carb came off,fitted it back on in dark with help of an off duty motorcycle cop who happened to pass-he had a torch,made job easier,had to use a bungee rope to hold it place.

Didnt get pics on nite but took em next day;

This was my first run on he road after a dyno,

Image

What looked good body clearance, wasn't enough with 15 stone and a big handful of throttle :roll:

Air hacksaw soon sorted the clearance for the next run :D

I borrowed the wifes scooter for a run out in the summer,

Image

And broke it :oops:

And a blurry shot of a broken VBB,

Image

Taken from my broken camera whilst I lay on the grass verge waiting for my ambulance,
And NO, it wasn't my Vespa, I was on the Lambretta that got tangled up in the mess :|

I hope next year is kinder to my scooters :biggrin:

They are the worst ones people watching and offering opinions when you just want to get on with it :lol:

Well I'm very impressed mr diablo that must be one huge tool box you have, gazebo, work bench and tool chest :lol:
If I breakdown I call for the breakdown services if they can't fix it I go home 8-)
TS1 and PX stay in the garage (future barn finds) out on the GTS 300 when I go out on a scooter.
I know I’ll get there and back
