Can someone give a definitive answer on Lambretta handlebar size please?
I thought (after reading much on here) that they were 25mm both sides (hence why people buying bike grips often buy two sets).
Just got me a set of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAMBRETTA-VES ... 51a3223b88
- Bought from the shop not via Ebay and was assured they'd fit my Italian GP "as Indian ones are different" as it says in the Ebay ad.
Just tried to put them on and they don't fit!! :x
My bars are 25mm both sides (now I've got the old grips off).
I can't see that my headset has been swapped as everything else is Italian (1970 bike) so who's right?

If you're not happy send them back. Personally I like these grips and buy 2 sets...

Cheers Chaps - so it seems they are wrong in their description about what they'll fit.
As Foremanbob says though, I really do like the style of the grips and the larger one will fit, so another set might be an option.

I've got some of those on an Indian GP. I bought 2 sets and decided that I'd see if I could fit the 2 x 22mm rather than bin them. I've got them on but they're too stretched so will probably crack up in use but they'll do for now. I think they're too long and the end part dangles loose. It needs a short stub, probably made from suitable thickness dowling putting in the end of the handle to keep it solid.

With the particular grip in question that plug wouldn't work Rich. Might be perfect with the end part machined off though.

..... but if you remove the horrible Blue end bung it'll probably be spot on.

How much for a pair Rich?
