hi all
if anyone could help
rebuilt my t5 mk1 with the malossi reed valve kit and 30 delorto carb and it runs s**t.
not ported anything other than the in let and i was told not to cut the crank.
do i have to port the caseings and do i have to split the crank, ive done many 210s but this is my first t5.
i think i have a fule restriction by not cutting the crank.
any suggestions on a exhaust please.
lookin forward to the suggestions before i port the caseings.

to reed valve it properly you will require 360 degrees of inlet timing ,this requires a crank and inlet port to be modified extremly .
a half way stage would be to use a crank that is cut/ slashed back like a rotary valve race crank would be at least .
but to put on a reed block onto a std crank is just futile as you are just introducing a restriction as you have found out .

I had a T5 crank done a while back for a reed motor, absolute work of art, think the fella that did it was called Sean ;)

thank you all again for your reply's,i have now installed the crank witch i must admit its a work of art and its turned out better than expected,
the cases were ported and cut to the malossi kit and a 140 main and a 60 idle and shes running really sweet.

thanks again
