i was riding my 225 ts1 today and it started slowing up then picking up again (a bit like when you run out of fuel) then i came to a junction and stop for traffic. The engine just died and wont start now. I have fuel in the carb, fuel to the carb is good. changed the spark plug, there is a good spark to. If you keep kicking the engine over it will start after about 30 kicks then it will run rough and die. Any ideas people??

Could be a low tension coil problem, I've had 2 fail with similar symptoms. Also check the fuel flow is fast enough by disconnecting the fuel hose from the carb and running into a jar, half pint per minute minimum I think?

Take the loom green off the CDI and see if that helps

Check your reed petals as this may be your problem?mattyp wrote:i was riding my 225 ts1 today and it started slowing up then picking up again (a bit like when you run out of fuel) then i came to a junction and stop for traffic.
