I have just fitted an Agusto 6000 unit and after strobing it in I am getting 23 degrees on tick over winding back to 14/15 when revving the nuts of it. Is this about right or should I move it a tad more to get 25 and 16/17 degrees ? The engine is a 225 alloy with steel liner 22mm dellorto and a clubman exaust.
The instruction don't really tell you what to aim for. But i suppose each engine is different.
Thanks Gaz.

Just set it to 25 rolling back to 17 degrees at full revs . I have to say it is the best I have ever got getting it to tick over. Had a quick blast up and down the road, It feels a lot cleaner from lower revs.
A big thumbs up from me.

I've also one and it seems good. Yours is moving 8 degrees but I'd like to know the offical figure it moves to and I've never known it.Gazbo72 wrote:Just set it to 25 rolling back to 17 degrees at full revs . I have a 6000 on mine but I'm pretty sure it only drops 6 degrees. Mine's set to retard to 16 degrees and is approx 22-23 degrees on tickover. I have run a couple of the Indian alloy 225 barrels and had overheating and piston holing issues when it was initially set to 17 degrees. I would definately advise Gasbo72 to leave as is. Wouldn't be without a retard unit now although one small down side is that is something else to check whenever you loose the spark. Upside is that it has never (so far) let me downLamaddict wrote:I've also one and it seems good. I haven't been called a retart yet Timbo. But I,m sure with some of my basic question people are thinking it
