I have my flywheel off the scooter at the minute. I am fitting an agusto 6000 when I noticed when stripped the flywheel had part worn through the sleeve and the white cable. So I,m having the stator rewired. A couple of questions ?

Would lightening the flywheel to mid weight say 2kg make any improvment to the running of the scoot. The specs are 200 casing with a 225 alloy top end with a steel sleve with the inlet and exhaust ports polished, 22mm dellorto and AF clubman exhaust.

It still runs on a the li style thin crank so I assume the lightening will not put as much strain on the crank as its an Indian electronic ignition. Or is the state of tune. or lack of not going to put to much strain on the the li crank.

Thanks for any replys.

i have an af lightened flywheel on a mec li crank, stage 4 175, 30 phbh and taffy pipe.
i noticed a dramatic difference in pick up after fitting the flywheel and no probs with tickover.
the main reason for fitting was to protect the crank. one other thing, the scooter refused to run properly using an agusto 6000, maybe cdi related? :fb:
