Hello All ,

I am thinking about getting a JL3 pipe , the latest version . Having not had a race/tour pipe for years i am wondering do i need to cut he rear running boards or modify them in any way on a series 3 LI special .

Thank you.

The JL3 on my Li225 special doesn't have a major problem with the footboards, but did seem to want to hit the bottom of the side panel just in front of the kickstart cut-out when I go over a bump!

As it's slip joint mounted with a bit of built in "wiggle" I've changed the mountings slightly to alleviate this. At least I hope I have, I'll find out when the engine goes back in the scooter.

Cheers
