Out Saturday and heard a distinct "spurt" noise from rear. First thought was puncture and that I had been saved by the Slime. Checked tyre and can see nothing obvious. Covered about 30 miles no probs and or loss of pressure.
Will Slime provide a permanent fix until I need to replace tyre or get pressure loss, or is it only intended as a "get home" and should be investigated to avoid a possible blow-out?
Also, if I invesigate and find tube okay that I can just reflate? -assuming the Slime will let me deflate the tube in the first place.
Grateful for any advice/experience. Cheeres

Defiantly inspect for peace of mind..you can reinflate with no problems at all, I have recently fitted a new rear tyre with slimed intertube and it's reinflated fine with no pressure loss...

If you want to let the air out of the tube that contains slime, valve must be towards top end of tyre or slime will stop deflation.
This applies to pumping up tyres too. Have valve towards top to stop slime fouling valve.

That's what I was thinking - I'll keep the valve upwards and leave it for a few days to let the slime settle at the bottom.. Thanks for confirming for me.

Not really a matter of being tight, I was just asking if it provided a permanent fix in which case would I just be wasting my time unnecessarily. If I'm going to have to take the wheel off and split the rim etc of course I'll change the tube if I find it was punctured. I had ask about reflating only should I find there is no puncture. Thanks for your comments anyhow, I'll definately take the safe option should there be any sign of damage - received my new tubes from Martin L just the other day in fact.
