Then runs fine after a minute when its warmer. Also hit a heavy pothole today and it misfired then too, whether there's any connection I dunno..
Any ideas gents?

the fact that it happened when you hit a pothole indicates that there is a fine break/ loose connection somewhere.
Work back from the sparkplug- is the cap on tight? Is the screw on bit on the plug done up tight? Electronic or points? Are all wires on junction boxes/ ignition switches tight and secure? Dry/ loose joints on stator?

CHEERS MATE. i WAS FEARING THE LONG WAY ROUND.
Had a similar prob some years back when the scoot would misfire occasionally, but always when I dropped myself hard onto the seat. Turned out to be the back of flywheel catching on the green ignition wire. But I suppose any loose connection or ignition wire with missing insulation would give the same symptoms?
