Hi all, after having non stop problems with my clutch i purchased a 'fit and forget clutch' anyway i fitted it and it slipped like mad. I sent it back and the seller said it was my kickstart shaft rubbing on the clutch causing the slip. After almost a month i've got it back and re-fitted it and it still slips. I noticed on assembly that the spider was a very tight fit in the crown wheel and would only turn with some force. The springs were also a tight fit in the spider, would this cause the clutch to slip? I have emailed the seller, but i'm waiting to hear back from him and i really want to get this sorted asap, as i'm missing out on the last decent riding weather of the year. I'm not slagging the seller off, as he has been very helpful. I just want to get this sorted. Can anyone advise me please?

I bought a new spider recently and it was similar problem to you , very tight and slipping. On measuring it was 0.4mm short and was not fully disengaging. Shop I bought it from replaced it and refunded my money.

Hi mate, its also a badly machined spider at fault with my clutch. The seller has been very helpful and is sending me another one. Cheers Pete.
