Can anyone confirm the torque required on the additional 3 cylinder head studs for the seven stud version of the Imola kit?

Instructions are not so clear -- refers to 16/17 pounds/ft (20nm+) for the "studs/nuts" but this seems (and feels) awfully high for a stud into an alloy cylinder.

I'm paranoid about thread stripping even on a new bit of kit.

Any thoughts - Cam Lam closed now until Tuesday. Cheers

From what I remember on the 7 studders, the extra 3 studs, ie barrel to head only, was 8-9 foot pounds

Those are M7 studs, so I set them to 11 foot-pounds.

The torque should be based on the length of the thread, thread size and metal threaded.

Aluminium is soft but it might be that the cylinder studs have that long threads in the engine block that it's not a problem. Someone should be able to reply to this.
