front drum brake: plug&play hydraulic conversion

wclw offer a plug&play hydraulic conversion for standart drumbrakes.
anybody tried these ? what do you think ?
could it be effective ?

there was a write up in scootering some years ago (4-5?.) someone may be along to corroborate. Andy did the article, as i recall he seemed to like the set up, but rated it under a disc conversion.

I'm guessing the thing on the right operates that brake arm mechanism.
