hello, in the month of November I have thought a trip kmts approximately 6000.

I am currently using on my mugello motul 710 (synthetic) .. well, in some parts of northern Argentina will not get that oil or other synthetic .. what could happen if I use semi synthetic or mineral oil in Mugello?

thanks!!

No problem at all, I used to run mine on whatever synthetic or semi-synthetic I could get. Never had any trouble with mixing even on the odd occation where I had to use mineral oil in over 4,000 miles.

I would not advise mineral oil on a mugello personally, yes you can use it on any engine but it's very nature is that it's fairly hard on the internals, that's why it's great for running in the first few hundred miles of a cast iron barrel / lined barrel.

Personally I always recommend semi for cast iron barrels, fully if you want it on cast, and would always use fully on say imolas and ts1s.

The danger here if doing such a trip is mixing your oils, you can easily get away with a mix of semi and fully in a tank, eg, on reserve with fully synth, top up 5/6 litres and mix with semi or vice versa.

However you won't get away with that mixing with mineral oil, you're asking for a seize :-(

Have a great trip Roy and take lots of photos and post them on here. I'd love to see Argentina, especially on a scooter. :D
