Just fitted my new CamLam 5 plate clutch everything fitted nice and bolted down well. Put engine back together ok. Started it up and ran well until i pulled clutch in and there was a rattle and it stalled , tried it a couple of times with the same results. Try clutch without engine running and clutch works great while using the kickstart or pushing it in gear. Any ideas ?

Sounds like the circlip holding the plates in has popped off.

yes thats spot on , i'm just wondering if the new spider may be splaying upwards as the brass clutch thrust bush pushes onto it or if the clutch flange is doing the same under the pressure of the new springs.
