ignoring GP forks which are shorter, S3 forks have the groove for the pinch bolt along the axis of the scooter; S2 have it across.

No. Unless you change the headset too.

Not strictly. Filing the groove at 90 Degrees is not too difficult, have done it to fit TV2 to LiS3: 1/2 an aftrer-work evenings 'garage time' to shape the slot position inc. measuring and marking.

You deffinitely need to be aware of the different fork stem, thread and bearing seat differences chrome ring non chrome ring etc. before proceeding.

If you can locate the lower headset in place (for clearance) with all bearings in place, have thread to do the top steering track washer and nut up properly + a clear position in the tube to mark and cut the alternative slot: then plough on with it :D

Otherwise wait for the pointer to the Lam fork stems dimensions table created by Jem Booth on the other side: which is surely a 'sticky' on this forum somewhere? (havn't looked coz already got it).

I'll dig out my copy as soon as i can, if an adult does not point you in the right direction, before I rember where I parked my pointing and walking stick..... even better :wtf:

apart from the prior mentioned clamp cut out .. the only other differing factor although irrelevant to fitment is the cable clip is welded to the fork not bolted to link :ugeek:

"I think you'll find................"

very early S3's also had the welded on cable clip on the O/S leg.
