I decided to fit the Rocho clutch, but Ive come across a problem

Put it all together and went to kick it off and the kick start just went straight down with no bite whatsoever

I tried it before I put exhaust back on and there was compression. So decided to strip it again. Couldnt see owt wrong so tried again...same

I took the clutch cable off and it was slightly better but still spongy. Strip down again and did a few measurements. I came up with this ......
The old flange is slightly worn in the middle and measures 1.32mm
The new Rocho flange measures 2.37mm
I think the brass plunger is catching the raised bit on the flange even when it is as far home as possible....how do I get round this, to stop it catching
