Can it be run well as open mouth and/or is there any remote set up for one?

I would think so if jetted correctly but why ?

I've got a large tank so no air box and at the mo a 28 delly. Quite a few people I know with the right set up are getting a good performance from a 22 on slightly tuned engines.

With or without filter ? I would try a filter you can fit horizontally if you have a long range tank , some thing like a breath easy on a rubber hose to suit your 22

With filters, wasn't sure if the remotes fitted a 22. Thanks. Tim

With filter meaning through an air box, which I don't have.

Ive run a breathsweet before on a 30mm delly on my stage 4 under the panels with my Diablo tank :
