Anyone else fitted one of these?

I've found it difficult to get the straps into a place where I could tighten them successfully, where have others positioned them?

It also seems to sit quite 'low' has no cutout so it seems quite tight on the carb especially round the choke adjuster

Thoughts?

Evil bay...

Have got one strap on but was a pig. I think I can get the other one on but more concerned about the choke cable run tbh?

It would be better with a cut out in the tank for the carb allowing more room for cable routing

Just realised that with a proper dellorto the choke is on the other side and hopefully that might solve the problem

Had a good go at this tonight and now have it sitting much better and a proper dellorto on order. :D eventually got driven in by the midges.

Have found that stainless tank straps fit much better when liberally coated with blood... ouch...

Next problem, is there more than one size of filler cap? The one off my standard tank is too small.

Well, after getting it in I couldn't get the petrol tap in a satisfactory position either so it's back out and the normal tank back in, chalk it up to experience and thown in the back of the shed...
