Horn wiring - having trouble getting it to work

i have just re - wired my headset & i have got everything working bar the horn which i need to get it MOT `d
the white wire i have connected straight from the horn to the handle bar switch , the brown wire i am unsure about as u have brown wire coming off the light switch loom lower down , brown wire coming from the horn can anyone give me a bit of help as desperate to get back on the road.

Hi,the brown wire is the live feed to the horn and the white wire is the earth from the handlebar switch,its easy to check, if the brown wire is live at the horn then just earth the other terminal out (on the horn) to the frame with a piece of wire to see if the horn works,if not then the horn is faulty.

If the horn works when the wire is earthed ,you then need to trace the white wire back to the handlebar switch to see if its broken or maybe the tag inside the switch is broken.

Fit one of them old bulb horns if you want to MOT in a hurry.........fix the Lammy one at your leasure! ;)
