I just put a 200 engine into one of my scoots, 12v electronic ign, 22mm dellorto, clubman exhaust, cant remember what timing i set it to as i built the engine over a year ago

When i kick it over it fires over and the kickstart kicks up hard, it keeps doing this till it eventually starts, is this a timing issue and if so what should the timing be 19 or 21 deg for a sil 200cc stage 4 barrell.

I would set at 19 , when you say kickstart kicks back up do you mean like normal compression wise? its not catching on something inside ?
As my Dad used to say "Each to their own lad"
