yeah.. loads of them. It's a lot easier when all the speeds are in km/h, rather than mph. Even vespas can do it.

I can safely say that I know nobody that is even slightly interested in making their scooter do 90mph, let alone 100mph.

I think the amount of people interested in RB's TS1 225+'s & the Super Monza suggests something slightly different to your views Muttley.
When I rebuild my TS1 225 I will be wanting it to do 90mph regardless of whether I will actually do it or not, my preference & opinion only.

I for one would be interested in building a Lambretta that can do 100 MPH, but it ain't gonna be a road going bike that is going to go that fast. A Lambretta can't make enough HP at the RPM needed to make a 10 inch wheel turn that fast and yet still survive in traffic. I read an interesting article years ago about preparing a land speed record 125cc bike. The minimum starting speed was 4000 RPM

Do all GPS speedos read the same?

Yes although some can be a little slow to respond and some show decimal places and others round up or down to the nearest whole number

Mine rounds down, TT Rider V2, I've seen 70 on the screen while riding and the trip recall says 66 top speed. As this was gps speed does this translate to over a ton on a Lambretta speedo?

People like to go on about the 90/100 mph top speeds but acceleration is never really talked about which im more interested in.Even at Elvington last year,the results were more aimed at top speed rather than how quick they got there.I used to use this beaten up old rally 200 a few years ago which genuinely did over 80mph which is kin good but most wouldnt bat too much of an eyelid over the fact that it did it in just over 15.5s pulling quite tall gearing and was also used for rallies and will probably be not of much interest though.

Same here,'I will be wanting it to do 90mph regardless of whether I will actually do it or not, my preference & opinion only.' I'm building a RB250 Part of the engine I'm thinking about is the gearbox and using the 5 speed option but then it's all around planning the other spockets right. Hopefully when the kit comes out it will give plenty of guidance/instructions.
