Attempting to fit a Vespatronic ignition to a femsa rally, but have no idea which way the backing plate should fit in relation to the stator? Anyone fitted one of these? The instructions are very general and are not easy to follow.

When I got mine they only did P Range and Smallframe kits, dont know if they do others now.
I fitted one to T5 casings, had to do a lot of machining to the backplate/stator to get it to fit with the larger flyside bearing that T5/Rally has.
Not sure what you mean by "which way the backing plate should fit"
Pic of mine may help.
What wiring loom are you using on the bike?
Im currently running a 180 points set-up on my Rally as I've had ign problems. Will be interested to see how you get on mate.

This kit came with a really nice separate back plate that the stator coils bolt too, I wasn't sure which way this bolted on as you had three options for the backing plate and two for the stator on that. In the end logical thinking took over and I fitted it something like yours is in the picture. The wiring on the bike is an AC conversion loom once wired up all the lights and switches worked first time.
