fuel starvation

Has anyone else had the problem, it starts when the fuel gets down to the last 2 litres or so when setting off in first more so on inclines it has fuel starvation for about 10 yards or so. someone has said try the sip modifyed carb any ideas thanks :wtf:

Very common on tuned bikes , i had loads grief with my 210 when as you say down to the bottom of tank, problem is level of fuel in tank is below float bowl of carb so in affect has to travel upwards!!! Notice it more when doubled up, get a decent rear shock and fast flow tap will help to a certain degree but only sure fire way imo is a fuel pump, which can be hard to set up when using standard carb.

thanks m8 will have to keep half tank in then,anyone got the modified sip carb on does it help any.

On my 210 I could never get round the fuel starvation problem. I modified my own standard carb as per how sip do theirs but as my bike is a thirsty little bugger I ditched the carb put a 28mil and fuel pump on.

You dont say what engine your running. Have you checked the fuel pipe is routed correctly, fast flow tap might help and if still no joy modify your own carb and try it.

fitted a new tap fast flow no difference tried 3 carbs only happens when fuel is low goes on reserve and when setting off in first only running a modified 152 polini kit

Fit a fuel pump its a cheap enough option
