Hi all,

With the TS1 being sold out for the moment, i am considering another kit for my jet. I want something like the TS1/RB (with lots of power@high revs) but would also like to have a torque@lower revs. (unlike ts1 and RB's - correct me if wrong) I'm considering a 116 mm conrod for this torque.

So i found that there were both a monza and a mugello in 225 configuration. Both have a 116 mm conrod version. The monza is a reedvalve induction, but i believe that one could use a lth-type reedvalve assembly on the muggy? What would the results of this be?

I'm a bit confused in the choice to make. My only concerns being high rev power (for top speed) and torque in lower gears/revs. I always ride the scooter alone, no hills or wind upfront problems.

Any advice?

Thanks,

S

The monza kit is basically a copy of the TS1 kit, but with more meat for porting but slightly more conservative port timings. (Corect me if I'm wrong) The muggelo kit doesn't have much of a reputation for speed, so I don't thi k you'd want that.

But, if your after a TS1 kit. Last time I look on jockeys boxenstop site, TS1 kits were showing in stock. Worth a look.

thanks for all this info. So why do i hear people say that i would be better off with the casa 210 kit that is an overall rpm engine and that a TS1 doesn't go well at low rpm? Would these kits be set up wrong?

Thanks,

Because everyone has their own 2c to add. And it's a LOT easier to spend someone else's money than your own.

It's very very easy to set something up wrong.

It's also very easy to make the exhaust port too big to make it go 'faster', and make it less rideable.

ive a muggello kit that im about to reedvalve and probably play around with transfer timings...i dont have a problem with this as the kit was basically free
but to pay 400quid for this kit...then another 150 for a reed valve....then have it tuned professionally, you going to be talking 700-800 quid which is stupid money for the spec.
