Vespa pinking

Think my pinking problem could be down to a hair line crack in the pipe, about an 1 inch long just down from the head, that would explain the massive heat being generated and melting the cowl. Think i may get it welded and see what happens then.

Just bolted on a loned standard pipe re jetted and no longer have any problems, watch out for cracking JL's
