Thnx for the info Darrell, I thought 40 was possible as Frank says thats wat his does, so I thought it was possible, dissapointed again! lol. Ill prob just stick with my Af tuned rb, cheers anyway matey.

@ Willwander, sod 90 mph I find 80 mph scary enough, especially if the carriageways busy!!!
Just to put Jonasford straight on the 40 BHP figure he has so famously misquoted on this forum (tut tut). This was a tongue in cheek figure directed at 'The 30 club' during a club meeting when I first thought about putting a new engine together. I was consulting with Darrell and he asked what I wanted to achieve from my New Engine i.e. Sprinting or Touring. Obviously my first answer was 30 + BHP. The 40 BHP figure was a wind up directed at the 30 club and a private joke on a closed forum. And at no time was this number ever taken seriously by the lads in the club or the '30 Club' it was solely directed at? All they wanted to know was - Have I broken into the "30 Club".
So it's quite obvious with you never turning up at meetings Jon (p155 ups) you didn’t get the 'IN' joke!! And a bit naughty of you to pop on another forum and post half a story you read on a closed forum (tut tut)
PS The jury is still out as the weather I have broken into this exclusive club in Scunthorpe. The 1st Rule of the 30 Club is - You Don’t talk about the 30 Club = Do you get the Joke now??[/quote]

Lol @ Frank,

Does anyone turn up at ur meetings frank??? Sorry Im not in with the in crowd, Too busy riding my scoot to rallies :D

I shall dream of the exclusive 30+ club now, if only....

if you can get 80 mph out of 20 hp then why not 120 mph out of 30 hp, the law of dimishing returns against a thinner wallet isnt my idea of a wise idea. when the first scooter with a 40hp engine hits a terminal speed of 160 mph then i'll get the hp arms race till then its just sexy disco chocolate sexy baby disco era makeovers of indian gp's. ;)

I was in the same frame of mind as you 'alcoholic' but once you ride a 30 + Lammy it's quite addictive the way it delivers the power and speed in an instant. I wanted a true 80 mph + Street Racer and not a 70mph that you have to add 10mph too for your street cred lol It's a Northern Thing :fb:

Are you on the rideout tomorrow night?
I do not try to explain why I ride Lambrettas,
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary,
For those who don't, no explantion is possible.

I'm having a ride up to Hatfield tomorrow afternoon and if I'm back in time I'll have a blast to Redbourne.

yes, damn you! power for the sake of power, you certainly know which buttons to press. i have no arguement against pointless power that doesnt make sense and therefore it must be a bad thing and so it has to be good.

Dono made it over today and did some dyno testing/setting up
had to richen it up alot as really needs a power jet or retarder ignition module to keep it safe past peak power but ended up overjetting on the main jet for now running it rich at 11-1 afr at peak power rpm
officially a new 30+ club member :)
