My mate holed his piston in his nice new Imola kit - split carb rubber - what with him having too much money he ordered an MB Race Tour piston and wants me to fit it, now there are a few differences, bigger windows in the piston, additional windows above the pin, but what I'm more concerned about is the crown height seems significantly higher - So I guess my question is - is it a straight replacement or is there anything I should be looking out for???

Cheers in advance

Think you should be checking the length of the conrod and making sure the piston is for the correct length!

He assures me that It's the right piston ordered from MB, the dimensions all appear the same except for the crown height. I'll get a photo up.

Having had another look I have realised the height is what has been lost due to the hole - doh :freak:

I would still be interested in pictures. I've only just got back into the scooter scene and thirst for more knowledge. I find pictures really help!

Bit of a silly question John.t5 you might be better spending more time getting the imola sorted for your mate than trolling the world wide web. :-))

Oh and maybe you should do say 50mile with plug chops for your mate just for your piece of mind :-)
