Hi,
Quick question.
I have changed my tank to a medium 10l one yesterday.
I have issues with the clearance of the tap that's resting on the engine mount part after tightening the tank straps up.
Any ideas on how to make it lift up a bit and give at least some millimetres clearance. Don't want it to go the first thing after a test ride.
Cheers
Fuel tap clearance

Turn On, Tune In, Cop out!
it's not hte fuel exit that touches the flywheel cowling, it's the tap touching the engine mounts frame.
So that tap wouldn't change anything on my behalf.

I've thought of that. Will have to try with a little each time until the taparm stops resting on the mounts.
Of all the rubbers around a strap. Which ones are mandatory and which can I leave out?
In examPlme the bottom one is a obvious must.

I had a similar problem that I kept splitting the petrol pipe because there was no clearance between the bottom of the fuel tap and engine mount. It drove me mad for ages untill I realised the original mounting rubbers for the petrol tank had worn, and lost their shape. I bought , and fitted some new original ones and hey presto, a huge clearance gap again and no problems ever since ( with that part of the scooter ! )
