I've just acquired a JL, looking at the stub, for standard port, without the gasket in there's a 3mm or so gap and the sleeve touches the fins.
With the gasket in it looks like there's about 1mm of clearance from the fins, but that's not tightened down. I think if I tighten it the sleeve will touch / jam on the fins.
Is this normal? Do I need to grind the fins a little?

I'll 2nd that, had to do it on both of the Indian ally 225 barrels that I've had, no problem with the Avanti though
