got a 172 t5 barrel and using a worb 5 piston (suzuki ts185 - same piston as the lam 190 conversion)
i have cut the piston to the correct height - but havent put the window in it yet.
i have a head to fit the malossi piston but the new piston has a higher dome )and another head done for polini.
i can get head gaskets and base gaskets from worb 5 at 0.5 - 2mm thick
Just wondering what others have done with the heads for this type of conversion (polini 152 bored to 64mm would have the same issue and i have seen several people using)
any info gratefully received
jap piston/malossi T5 cylinderhead

cheers for the reply
Martin has done all me heads in the past - TS1`s and Vespa. If i get some to do it, it would go to him.
i`ve got access to all the machinary to do it (and a great bloke for advice on using it on hand) - fancied having a go myself -
i`ve skimmed a few flywheels, milled down a yam reed block and just retapped a casing at the cylinder base following some ali welding (done in house) using a Bridgeport machine and lathe, pressed out a vespa link pin etc - just enjoying tinkering as a stress reliever from my daily job.
Gotta to go past Leeds next week so might just drop it in for easy - then study it !
